song of ramrom

o me gosh, last day of november is upon us
losses of sorts to reflect and nurse
mama howard got her sleep bliss ringing eternal thanksgiving bell
and today, the first advent (4th sunday before christmas) fell

i missed the last episodes of project runway while in the canada
but gained precisely all back when i serendipitously clicked on bravo re-runs yesterday, brava
then despite many failed attempts to view mamma mia chick flick with gno “aunties”
jk burned me a copy today, so another gain in my trove of bounties

yes, advent is about divine love gift free for all hanging on the Christmas tree
the best things in life indeed are free
thanks pc for the reminder, with sam cooke and u, i agree
also free for thee is this ramrom brie

moon belongs to everyone
the best things in life they’re free
stars belong to everyone
they glitter there for you and for me

and yes abba, i have a dream which is free, a song to sing
to help me cope with anything
if u see the wonder of a fairy tale
u can take the future even if u fail

i have a dream, a fantasy
to help me through reality
and my destination makes it worth the while
pushing through the darkness still another mile

o mamma mia, i believe in angels
something good in everything i see
i believe in angels
i know when the time is right for me
i’ll cross the stream – i have a dream

you’re in the mood for a dance
and when u get the chance…
u can dance, u can jive, having the time of your life
see that girl, watch that scene, diggin’ the dancing queen

i’m flying free
take a chance on me
gonna do my very best and it ain’t no lie
if u put me to the test, if u let shirliie try

i work all night, i work all day, to pay the bills i have to pay
ain’t it sad
and still there never seems to be a single penny left for me
that’s too bad
in my dreams i have a plan

money, money, money
must be funny
in the rich man’s now-lost world
money, money, money
always sunny
in the rich man’s now-broken world

aha-ahaaa
all the things I could do
but u know the best things in life are free so i don’t need money
cos’ i have Him, honey

steve nash, a pro basketball player who’s already got the money says:
“it doesn’t take a lot to make me happy
i like to work out
i like to play ball
i like to spend time with my friends
i like to make myself better every day
i like to try to learn
it doesn’t take money to do that…”

yetzer lupinus

turkey got gobbled
return to world cobbled
from thankful heart, how then to proceed
fable of 2 wolves residing in heart, which one do u feed?

a cherokee indian elder was teaching his grandchildren about life
“a fight is going on inside you”  for life is 10% hits happen, 90% how u cope with strife

“it is a terrible fight between two wolves
one wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, arrogance, self-pity
greed, guilt, resentment, lies, false pride, ego, superiority and inferiority
the other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, friendship, truth, compassion, faith, empathy and generosity
the same fight going on inside of you is inside every other person too,” with virtuosity
the story moves

the children thought about it for a minute, and then one child asked, “o wise kin
which wolf will win?”

the old cherokee elder replied simply,
“the one you feed,”  intentionally or unknowingly

credit to http://www.firstpeople.us/pictures/wolves/1024×768/ds-loup07-1024×768.html

a rabbi expressed it this way:

the 2 wolves symbolize yetzer hora, the evil inclination
and yetzer hatov, the good but unfortunately mainstream declination
lupine yetzer hora thrives on bodily appetites
while lupine yetzer hatov thrives on torah, prayer, good deeds not fights
both wolves compete to out-smother
eventually, one swallows the other

the world’s a pyramidical house of cards
when duked out, everything gets leveled, no more bards, no nothing, no if’s, no butts
ctrl-alt-delete restart, histories turn and burn
humans don’t learn, shortcuts yearn, hardwork and harmony spurn
the tensive dilemma prevails
have and have-nots, who-lords-who power-hungry trails
when we solve conditions purely on human folly and might
ignoring larger quantum particle forces at play, a costly blindsight

life sojourn and its meandering meanings begin
inside-out first not outside-in
first grapple with problem of sin
avoid nurturing soul with toxic foods and worldly din

john grant, ex-senator now writer-speaker recalls paul’s letter to the galatians
imploring them to live by the Spirit, and not gratify the desires of the sinful nature and inclinations
for the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit,
and the Spirit desires what is contrary to the sinful nature…anti-frog in warm water ribbit…..

exemplar deeds of the flesh, paul in galatians 5:19-20 spelled them out:
sexual immorality, impurity debauchery, idolatry witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy bout
rage fits, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions envy, drunkenness, orgies, feeding yetzer hora clout

paul then went on to enumerate the fruits of the Spirit in galatians 5:22
which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness
self-control, faithfulness, and gentleness

o where have been my blue-eyed son
and where have been my darling young one

i saw a newborn baby with wild wolves all around it
i saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it
i saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin’
i saw a room full of men with their hammers a-bleedin’
i saw a white ladder all covered with water
i saw 10000 takers whose tongues were all broken
i saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children

and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard, and it’s a hard
it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

i met a young child beside a dead pony
i met a white man who walked a black dog
i met a young woman whose body was burning
i met a young girl, she gave me a rainbow
i met one man who was wounded in love
i met another man who was wounded and hatred

and it’s hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard
it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

flip it

talking to myself and feeling old
like festering mold
sometimes i’d like to quit
nothing ever seems to fit
hanging around, some kind of lonely frown
rainy days and mondays always get me down

this post is dedicated to pc who shared the “flip”
like a flip wilson-to-geraldine glib
like camomile instead of absinthe sip
turn your palm over and flip in a clip
do a tango dip
instead of guilt vibes keep

flip financial gloom and emotional toss
to “eat less-exercise more” weight loss
flip job loss
to new directions and opportunity gloss
roll dicey stone and gather moss
i lost brain cells but gained stature of a being c.i.a boss

flip confidence in pain
to anchoring in loved ones gain
like hannah’s cup of tear stains from penninah hurt strains
to sweet poetic song of hannah refrains

flip disappointment
to not-meant-to-be and shift to give hilarotes annointment
instead of seething wrath
flip double, double, toil and trouble
to bubble-bubble
but not douse ’em in bubble bath

flip fear
put on faith goggles to see through fog clear
convert to new discovery cheer
new tracks to brave steer

they told negativity don’t u ever come around here
don’t wanna see your face, u better disappear
the fire’s in their eyes and their words stab like spear
so flip it, just flip it

u better run, u better do what u can
don’t wanna see no blood, don’t be a macho man
u can be positively tough, uplift weight of spirit all u can
so flip it, just flip it, flip it

flip it, flip it
no one wants to be defeated
showing how funky strong is your fight
it doesn’t matter who’s wrong or right
just flip it, flip it

u have to show them that you’re really not scared
you’re playin’ with your life, this ain’t no truth or dare
they’ll kick u, then they beat u,
then they’ll tell u it’s fair
so flip it, u don’t wanna be bad or sad

so don’t harbor gloom and doom
flip it to allow blessings bloom
give a thanksgiving boom

flip to philippians 4:8 insight
“fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right
think about things that are pure lovely and of admirable might

think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise”
most of all, thank Him for His love and grace
adversity to counter, flip to face and erase

broken

broken racquet
have strings restrung, easy fix racket

broken mac
u can replace that drive with burn attack

broken franck mueller
to have it serviced in hongkong, well trade landscape favor

broken digital camera
ship to canon repair center

broken china set
ain’t no way to piece back together for perfect fix get

broken phone
tone to atone
look for warranty to clone
broken blackberry
scramble dejected models to hone in a hurry

broken washer dryer
equipment do tire
tenants’ laundry in dire
a landlord’s quagmire

broken economy
broken foe and enemy
broken anatomy

broken savings
oh hell pell mell, means half to zero retirement cravings
rebalance portfolio for upturn
could be waiting for godot to churn
or get further burn

broken finger
fix with splinter

broken back
recover by laying in sack

broken old hip
muscles atrophy, no longer walk keep

broken neck
could translate to brain attack

broken heart in a broken world is worst to deal
hardest to heal
requires a broken body in Christ to appeal
to obtain salvation and divine love seal

i can still feel the breeze
that rustles through the trees
and misty memories of days gone by
we could never see tomorrow
no one said a word about the sorrow

and how can you mend a broken heart?
how can you stop the rain from falling down?
how can you stop the sun from shining?
what makes the world go round?

how can you mend this broken man?
how can a loser ever win?

please help us mend our broken hearts
and let us live again

broken
we are not forsaken
in john 14:27 the Lord has spoken

“peace I leave with you,
My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

hello wind

halloween came and went
with rain descent
bye bye black october
morning has broken in november
taipan-infused brunch fueling ramrom hour

first on mind as i scribe
click a cat stevens i-tune ripe
i listen to the wind
to the wind of my soul
where i’ll end up
only God really knows
where His music takes me
that’s where my heart goes

a year ago i scribed a goal
to rake bible-in-a-year coal
so this morn the verse that’s the beacon
1 timothy 3:9 paul’s advice to the deacon
to hold “the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience”
that’s hard for human apprehension
thus is living-life-on-faith tension

whoa, where do u go
when u don’t want no one to know
who told tomorrow
tuesday’s dead?

don’t forget to vote
this coming tuesday is not dead yet
or is it?
